William Bill Cole

William "Bill" Cole, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday morning, August 19, 2022 . Bill was born in Philadelphia to Josephine and Henry Cole on August 31, 1940 and graduated from Father Judge High School in 1958. Following graduation he served in the Army National Guard and then was a Philadelphia Police Officer for 26 years and also a Master Electrician. Bill's hobbies include fishing and racing cars with his best friend, Bob Lima. Bill is the loving dad of William Cole and Michael Cole (Christine) and proud Poppy to 4 amazing grandsons, John (Kimber), Tyler, James and Matthew. He was predeceased by his brothers Hank Cole and Joseph Cole and is also survived by his wife of 60 years Virginia "Ginny" Cole, his sister Maryanne Dietz and sisters-in-law Pat Cole and Regina "Cookie" Cole. Relatives, friends and fellow members of FOP Lodge 5 are invited to gather on Saturday August 27th from 12 noon to 1 PM in St. Katherine of Siena Church 9700 Frankford Avenue and to his 1 PM funeral mass.
