Margaret “Peggy” Elliott

Margaret “Peggy” Elliott, born on September 19, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed

away surrounded by the love of her family on August 29, 2026.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret and Arnold Elliott, whom she loved dearly and is now reunited with.

She leaves behind her three children, Richard, Carl, and Michele, who will forever cherish her unconditional love and the many memories they shared.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Antoinette “Toni”, Richard Jr. “RJ”, Alannah, Devlin, Ian, Abel, Caden, Nevaeh, and Killion. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and brought her immense pride and joy.

Peggy will be remembered for her generous heart and her unwavering willingness to help others. Her door was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay, a hot meal, or simply someone who cared. Family, friends, and even those with nowhere else to turn knew they could count on Peggy. She gave what she could without expecting anything in return, making people feel welcome, accepted, and loved.Her greatest pride was her family. She found happiness in spending time with her grandchildren and was always happiest when everyone was together. Her kindness, compassion, and selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Peggy’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and putting others before herself. While her family will miss her deeply, they find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her parents, Margaret and Arnold.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peggy’s life on Thursday September 3rd from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, 2614 Orthodox St., Philadelphia Pa 19137. Following her 10:30 am prayer service, Peggy will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
