Kervin Candio was born on September 1, 1979 in Brooklyn, NY. Affectionately known as Poupi, he attended I.S. 293, Middle College High School at Medgar Evers College, and the College of Staten Island where he met the love of his life, Nazeha. They later married and had two beautiful children. In 2009, he and his family moved to Philadelphia, PA. His compassion and dedication led to a successful career as an LPN, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse.As a resilient and tenacious individual, Kervin always had the courage to start anew. He continuously looked for the silver lining in any situation. No matter the challenge or request, he exceeded expectations for himself and others.In his spare time, Kervin enjoyed singing and dancing. His love for music included all genres such as Hip Hop, R&B, Raggae, Haitian Compa, and Freestyle. Kervin truly was the life of the party. You would always leave with a story of something funny or crazy he did while you were with him. His infectious smile would put anyone at ease. He was very active in his church, True Vine Church Community, serving as a leader for the Youth Discipleship Group, among other duties.On March 28, 2022, Kervin's life was cut short as a result of heart complications. He spent his final moments with his family, after serving the Lord. A beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend.Kervin is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nazeha, and their two sons Kervin Nurh and Nicholas Khalid, whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret, sister, Kathy, his uncle, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and cat, Mr. Fluffy.Kervin's viewing will be held at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations 6126 Torresdale Avenue on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 10:30 A.M. to 12 P.M.
