Jennifer Barr

Jennifer Barr of Philadelphia, PA., passed away suddenly at the age of 43 on January 1, 2022. Jennifer was born on June 2, 1978 and grew up in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Her family moved to the neighborhood in 1977 and she played soccer for the Kensington Ramblers which started her many life-long friendships. Her coaches were great mentors in her childhood life, particularly Mr. John Burns and Mr. Ricky Mitchell, and her dad Cameron Barr was an assistant coach. One of her great childhood memories was traveling to Hawaii with her coaches and teammates. In Jenny's teenage years she had her first child, William Charles Sweeney on August 31, 1994. Jenny had her second child, Brooke Anne Sweeney on February 4, 2004. She was passionate about her work at Woodcock Washburn, LLP and Cozen O'Connor law firms in Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her late father, Cameron Barr and is survived by her son, William Charles Sweeney, daughter, Brooke Anne Sweeney, mother, Jo-Mary Barr, brother, Cameron Barr (Kelly), brother, Scott Barr (Crystal), sister Shannon Barr (late Nick). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Jennifer was a very loving, caring, kind-hearted, compassionate person. One of her biggest attributes was her loyalty to her family, friends and loved ones. No matter what happened in life or in the past she was always by your side and forgiving. Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 9 AM to 11 AM in Saint George Catholic Church, 2700 E. Venango Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134. Jennifer's funeral mass will begin at 11AM and her interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brooke Sweeney's educational fund by Venmo to @CamBarr and would be greatly appreciated by her family.
