Henryka Carney

Henryka (Henia)Sramkowska Carney passed away on November 15, 2015 in Warrington, PA. She was 83 years old. She was born on January 18, 1932 in Sompolno Poland. She was the daughter of the late Kazimierz and Salomea (Zablocka) Sramkowski.
Henia was an active member of Saint Bartholomew's parish for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a talented cook, especially sharing her passion for Polish cooking. She enjoyed sharing her Polish delicacies and hosting family and friends for holidays and special occasions. Henia was an enthusiastic gardener. Friends and family remember her tending to her beautiful roses and vibrant vegetable garden. She loved to knit and made many beautiful blankets, scarves, and sweaters. In addition to these hobbies, Henia most loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren who bought her much joy and happiness.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years William in 2007, her son Tadzik, her sister Czeslawa Kolakowska, and her brother-in-law Michael Bogdan.
She is survived by her sister Aurelia Dombrowska, sister-in-law Eleanor Bogdan and her devoted children, Elizabeth Padavano and her husband Dominic of Oxford, Daniel Rzetelski and his wife Eva of Philadelphia, William Carney and his wife Robin of Philadelphia and Roseanne Sullivan and her husband Michael of Ambler. She is the loving grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of one.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday November 20, 2015 from 10 to 11 am at St. Bartholomew Church 5600 Jackson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19124. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am.
