Gerald E. Corkery
Gerald E. Corkery passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on January 24, 2022 at the age of 77.
Gerry was the beloved husband of Maureen A. Corkery and devoted father of Colleen Corkery and Sean Corkery (Heather). Proud grandfather of Riley, Devin, Reese, Madelynn and Liam. He is also survived by his sisters Anna Marie and Cheryl along with many nieces and nephews.
We have been blessed to know Gerry, a true gentleman. Gerry will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit and warmth. He was a true people person and master story teller. Many of Gerry's stories included fond memories of growing up with family and relatives, his bar and the many sports teams he enjoyed coaching over the years.
Gerry enjoyed sharing his hobbies and passions with his son, grandson and nephews. He adored his family and took great pride in passing on family traditions, from baking his Grandmother's raisin bread to teaching the nieces and nephews to drive.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Monday January 31st from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in St. Jerome's Church 8100 Colfax Street. (Please wear your mask and follow social distancing guidelines). His funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM and interment will follow in St. Dominic's Cemetery.
