Ethel Kling Hiller

Ethel Kling Hiller was born in Warminster, Pennsylvania, March 26, 1921 and lived to be 100 years old. She was the oldest sibling and had 3 sisters - Violet, Isabel and Florence, 2 brothers - Charles and Elwood, 1 half-sister - Jackie, and 2 half-brothers Phillip and Glenn. She also had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was married to John "Joe" Hiller and was blessed with a daughter, Deborah. In her early adult years, she worked packing candy at the Blumenthal Candy Company where she met her husband. After they married, their daughter Debbie was born. She, her husband and Debbie lived in Philadelphia their entire marriage until Joe passed on. She then lived with her daughter in the same home. Ethel was a caring person who would help anyone and try to give good advice. You could say she was the matriarch of the family. When she was 80 years old, she went to Florida to visit her sister Violet and to see what Florida was like. She had a wonderful time there. At home, she was an avid reader and did all sorts of word and crossword puzzles every day. She also read the paper every day and was up to date with world events. Family was most important to her and her family will truly miss her. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral, Tuesday March 29th from 10 AM to 11 AM at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, 6126 Torresdale Avenue. Prayer service will begin 11 AM. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery. Lunch following the burial at Gallo's Restaurant, 8101 Roosevelt Blvd, Philadelphia, PA.
