Elizabeth "liz" Borghise

Elizabeth Borghise, of Philadelphia PA, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019, after battling metastatic colorectal cancer for the past year. She was 35.

Liz held many titles throughout her life, her most favorite being "Mom." She was the loving mother of Carlos Sean, who was her world. Lito, as she affectionately called him, was her pride and joy and they shared many fun adventures. She passed on her love of scary movies and ghost stories to him. She enjoyed trying new experiences, had a love of music, shopping, makeup, shoes and purses. She appreciated new foods and restaurants, along with travelling. Liz was a great friend and was loved by many that she met. She was spunk, sass, and quick wit all rolled into one. She explored a few career paths before becoming a nurse. She had so much compassion and truly loved her job at St. Joseph's Manor at Holy Redeemer Hospital.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Donna and Ed Epright; sister Julie Riviello (Andy); father Pat Borghise and sister Jessica; step-brothers Ed Epright (Liz) and Mike Epright (Ali); step-sisters Roxanne Jordan (Jason), Dianna Davis (Jason), Mimi Epright (Brian), Jennifer Gilmore (Joe), and Melody Revere (Jon); and many nieces and nephews. She was loving godmother and aunt to Finn Nicholas.

She will be sadly missed by her many family members and friends. Liz was from a large, close family and her cousins were some of her best friends. Carlos Borges and Liz parented their son Lito together and she was so loved by his family as well. She has made many fantastic relationships throughout her lifetime and will be greatly missed by all of her friends.

Services for Liz will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Christ the King Church, located at 3252 Chesterfield Rd., Philadelphia PA 19114. Visitation will be at church from 9:30-10:30 AM with mass following at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.
