Edward Grove

Edward Leonard Grove, age 68, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly at his home August 5, 2025.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Howard and Marion Grove, Ed was a proud graduate of Father Judge High School. He dedicated more than 30 years of his career as plant manager at Adelphia Steel on State Road, where he was well respected until its closing.

Ed was happiest when spending time with friends on the golf course or out fishing. He lived a full and happy life, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Edward, and his sisters, Marion and Kate. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Shannon, and his brother, Howard.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at his memorial on Friday, September 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations 2614 Orthodox Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gift of Life or a charity of your choice.
