David Sauter

David C. Sauter, 71 passed away on May 5, 2022 at home per his wishes surrounded by his loving wife and family after a short battle with lung cancer.
David was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 26, 1950 the 3rd of 8 children. Son of Catherine (ne Bell) and Carl Sauter.
Husband of Barbara A. (Ne McCollum) for 52 years. High school sweethearts together for 54 years, together they had 4 children Deborah Sauter (preceded in death), Christina (ne Sauter) (Matthew) Helms, David (Tina) Sauter, Sean (Jen) Sauter.
Grandfather of Jade (ne Sauter) (Rob) Notarfrancesco, Alexis Norris, Lauren and Matthew Helms, David Jr. and Jessica Sauter, Victoria, Dominic and Cecilia Sauter.
Great grandfather of Sofia Notarfrancesco.
He retired to Cape May, NJ in 2018 with his wife where they enjoyed life with family and friends.
Dave was an excellent, well respected diesel/heavy equipment mechanic for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, NASCAR, peanuts, and taking naps. He was the original map quest with amazing navigational skills. He had a great sense of humor even up to the end. Dave was a staunch Republican and he made no secret of that. Yelling let's go Brandon with a smile and laughing in his sleep.
Dave would always be the first person to step up when you needed a favor or help. He loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Lovingly referred to as Pops by everyone.
Dave was a great guy and he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by all that knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday evening May 12th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM and Friday morning May 13th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in St. Timothy's Church 3001 Levick Street.
