Catherine Santiago

Catherine Mary Santiago, 67 years old, passed away on February 14,2021 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Wilfredo Santiago. They shared 51 years of marriage together.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Patricia Lillian Barry and James Heron. Catherine was employed at Cooper River Convalescent Center and worked as a CNA for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, music, dancing, and caring for her pets. Catherine will be remembered as one of the kindest women you could meet. Always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She opened her heart and her home to many people over the years. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. A one true beautiful soul.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart Wilfredo Santiago. Son Frederick Santiago and wife Kathryne Santiago, son Christopher Santiago and wife Maureen Reim-Santiago, daughter Catherine Messina and husband Thomas Messina Jr., son Anthony Santiago and wife Faith Santiago, daughter Jessica Murao and husband Steven Murao, daughter Amanda Wade and late husband Joseph Wade, daughter Bonnie Santos and husband Dave Santos, and daughter Ashley Santiago. Grandchildren Delaney Santiago, MacKenzie Santiago, Brayden Messina, Mia Messina, Angelina Santiago, Joseph Wade, Lyza Murao, Amelia Murao, Annabelle Murao, Abigail Murao, Audien Murao, Christian Murao, Sophie Santos, Logan Santos. Great grandchildren Penelope Malva and Phoenix Murao.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 19,2021 at McCafferty Sweeney Slabinski Barnes Funerals and Cremations, Inc. 6126 Torresdale Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19135 where relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from Friday from 12pm-1pm and to her 1 pm funeral service.
