Albert Francis Otoole

Albert Francis O'Toole, born October 17, 1933, raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia with his parents and 7 other siblings. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He met his wife Joan Barton and married on August 1, 1953. They were married for 68 years had four children Joann, Lucy Ann, Virginia, & Albert Jr. He joined the Philadelphia Police Highway Patrol. He belonged to and trained the Highway Patrol Motorcycle Drill Team which performed at the John F. Kennedy Stadium. He went on to become a Grandfather (P-POP) to Kassandra, Amanda, Patricia, Desi Rae & Colin. He was instrumental as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Spirit (Semi-Pro) and the Wizard's softball teams in Philadelphia. He then became a Great Grandfather (P-POP) to Kylie, John, Brianna, Angela, Lucy, George, and Luca. Al, Dad, P-Pop, brother, peace officer, pool buddy, drill team, coach, but most of all FRIEND, you will be missed by all. Most of all he was our Hero and we love Him.
Relatives, friends and fellow members of FOP Lodge 5 are invited to his viewing and funeral Wednesday August 11th from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in St. Bernard's Church 7341 Cottage Street. His funeral mass will begin 10:30 AM and his interment will be held privately.
